DestinyEast ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website destinyeast.app, providing Ba Zi destiny readings, compatibility analysis, and I Ching divination services. We are a sole proprietorship based in Wisconsin, United States.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information you voluntarily provide to generate your reading:
- Birth information — date, time, and place of birth
- Name or alias — only if you choose to enter one
- Partner's birth information — only for compatibility readings
- Device and usage data — automatically collected via Vercel, including IP address and browser type
We do not collect payment card information. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. under their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To calculate and generate your personalized reading
- To verify payment status for unlocking your full report
- To improve our service and fix technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Retention
Reading inputs are processed in real time. We do not maintain a persistent database of individual reading inputs. Your browser stores a temporary "paid" marker in localStorage for up to 24 hours — this data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
- localStorage — to remember your payment status for 24 hours (client-side only)
- Analytics cookies — privacy-focused analytics only, no advertising cookies
6. Third-Party Services

- Anthropic — AI services for generating report text
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Payment data is never stored on our servers.

You may request information, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing support@destinyeast.app. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
DestinyEast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
